Governor Alia Completes Ten Intra-City Roads To Boost Makurdi Commerce Corridor

The Benue State Government has finalized a major urban transformation project following the completion of ten critical intra-city road assets in Makurdi under directives from Governor Hyacinth Alia. The infrastructure deployment, managed by the State Ministry of Works, is engineered to reconfigure municipal traffic streams, link commercial wards, and eliminate urban bottlenecks.

The completed road construction segments utilize durable asphalt overlay systems, reinforced concrete side gutters, and synchronized solar-powered street lighting models. According to municipal planning updates, the synchronized opening of these ten transit assets will immediately lower transport delays for local traders and improve nighttime security indices within the business sectors.

Governor Alia stated that delivering high-fidelity city transport networks is an absolute prerequisite for expanding the subnational economic base. The state civil service has been instructed to initiate immediate post-construction asset tracking routines, ensuring that municipal drainages are kept clear to preserve asphalt lifetimes and safeguard the public investments across the capital city.
