JOS, Nigeria, June 26, 2026 - The Plateau State Government has scaled up its grassroots human capital development and gender capitalization portfolios following the formal expansion of the Nigeria for Women Program Scale-up Project across the Jos South Local Government Area. Directed by the project's state delivery unit, the high-impact intervention launched comprehensive field sensitizations across the Kuru B, Hwolshe, Kushe, Turu, Vwang, and Chugwi wards.
The strategic framework focuses on the institutionalization of Women Affinity Groups, which function as decentralized subnational platforms to drive financial inclusion, build local social capital, and unbundle direct credit channels for rural housewives. To secure deep community ownership, the implementation team executed high-level advocacy consultations at the palace of the traditional ruler of Turu District, Da Gwom Ezekiel James Dalyop.
Project Head of Operations Rayandy Kim Chuwang stated that equipping low-income female demographics with collaborative enterprise training is an absolute prerequisite for transforming household welfare indices. The Ministry of Women Affairs has synchronized the group-building exercises with structured data collection sweeps, ensuring participants can access immediate cooperative micro-grants to scale agricultural and petty trading activities.
