The green transportation framework is backed by an executive 170 million euro subsidized credit line from the EIB. The infrastructure plan dictates the deployment of a fleet of over 75 high-capacity electric ferries, the dredging and channelization of 140 kilometers of lagoon pathways, and the installation of specialized solar-powered battery charging installations across 25 smart terminals.
Governor Sanwo-Olu noted that expanding eco-friendly marine logistics represents a central pillar of the state's THEMES+ development strategy.
