Governor Eno Integrates 2,272 Village Youth Presidents Into State Security Grid

The Akwa Ibom State Government has executed a sweeping expansion of its localized defense networks following the formal unveiling of a grassroots security initiative by Governor Umo Eno. The neighborhood mobilization framework directly integrates 2,272 verified Village Youth Presidents across all thirty-one local government councils to build an airtight frontline intelligence grid.

The operational policy leverages community structures to secure direct, real-time reporting links between remote settlements, traditional monarchs, and formal military apparatuses. To streamline tracking, Governor Eno mandated local chairmen to appoint specialized Security Supervisors to handle liaison duties, warning that the official roles will not shield any youth leader from legal accountability.

The administration also introduced an incentivized reward matrix to pay citizens for supplying actionable crime-prevention data. Backed by the state’s overarching ARISE development agenda, the internal security command has been directed to roll out comprehensive training protocols and expand the Quick Response Force across all ten federal constituencies to shorten tactical deployment times.
