๐Ÿšœ๐ŸŒพ Governor Aliyu Demands Accelerated Timelines For Multi Billion Naira Gada Infrastructure

GADA, Nigeria, June 29, 2026 - The Sokoto State Government has intensified its subnational agrarian development and rural access frameworks following an extensive on-the-spot project evaluation tour conducted by Governor Ahmed Aliyu across Gada Local Government Area. The executive inspection monitored the construction of two major transit linkages and the central Gada Market complex, enforcing strict milestones to guarantee immediate public utilization.

The first infrastructure asset comprises the 9.5-kilometer Gada-Bakin Kasuwa-Tsitse-Tabanni road awarded at 2.8 billion naira, which has reached seventy-five percent completion. The second, a 21.8-kilometer Kaffe-Tsitse-Gidan Hashimu transport corridor valued at 5.1 billion naira, stands at sixty-five percent completion, with completed culvert structures already dropping agricultural transit costs from ten thousand naira down to one thousand naira per haul.

Rural Roads Special Adviser Malami Muhammad Galadanci confirmed that the state government maintains zero financial debt across the projects. The corresponding 2.4 billion naira Gada Market installation-incorporating specialized onion, garlic, and grain commodity sections alongside a modern abattoir-is currently forty-eight percent complete and will feature independent water reticulation and solar arrays.
