The Edo State Government has reinforced its human capital development portfolios following the formal opening of the National Youth Service Corps orientation course at the permanent camp in Okada. Represented by Youth Affairs Commissioner Charity Amayaenvbo, Governor Monday Okpebholo characterized the national scheme as a vital tool for driving community service and local workforce synchronization.
The administration has integrated the technical competencies of the registered corps members into the state's quarterly rural health outreach framework. This localized medical project, which successfully serviced Akoko Edo in March, is scheduled to deploy medical doctors, nurses, and laboratory scientists to provide free primary clinical checkups across underserved Edo Central communities.
The state executive urged the 1,587 newly registered personnel to leverage the institutional channels of the Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development program to capture business engineering toolkits. The Ministry of Youth Affairs has been directed to expand enterprise grant access links, ensuring young graduates can safely establish small retail units to boost municipal trade indices.
