๐ŸŒพ๐Ÿฆ Governor Namadi Hosts First Lady Oluremi Tinubu For National Community Food Bank Program

HADEJIA, Nigeria, June 30, 2026 - The Jigawa State Government has achieved a significant social security milestone following the formal hosting of the First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, for the North-West zonal launch of the National Community Food Bank Programme. Presided over by Governor Malam Umar Namadi, the high-level intervention expands nutritional safety nets for vulnerable demographics, nursing mothers, and infants.

The humanitarian campaign aligns with the state’s existing MASAKI Nutrition Programme, which successfully scaled its screening numbers to track over 382,000 children, boosting moderate malnutrition recovery rates to forty-three thousand cases. To further expand local human capital, the First Lady commissioned the newly completed Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu Academy and the Oluremi Tinubu Clinic, both funded by NITDA under Director-General Kashifu Inuwa.

Governor Namadi maintained that providing centralized storage facilities and robust community-led distribution channels is an absolute prerequisite for insulating low-income families from severe food supply inflation. The state has committed comprehensive logistical backing to the program, coordinating with the North-West Governors' Forum to ensure that bulk dietary supplies reach designated rural households uniformly.
