The Jigawa State Government has expanded its human capital development and industrialization portfolios following high-level technical sessions hosted by Governor Malam Umar Namadi with a joint delegation from the Office of the Vice President and the United Nations Development Programme. The summit focused on scaling up participation tracks under the revamped Nigeria Jubilee Fellows Programme.
The administrative strategy aligns with the state’s 12-Point Agenda, leveraging the established Economic Empowerment and Youth Employment Agency. To date, the state has absorbed over ten thousand young graduates across the health, agriculture, and education ministries, while generating an additional nine thousand nine hundred asset protection roles to secure public infrastructure loops.
Governor Namadi highlighted that matching youth vocational training with hard infrastructure is an absolute prerequisite for growth. To maximize local content capacity, the state successfully sponsored thirty indigenous technicians to China for specialized training in heavy machinery, providing the specialized domestic workforce needed to assemble and operate newly procured tractor fleets.
