Bayelsa Governor Diri Commissions Advanced NSCDC Infrastructure Projects In Yenagoa

The Bayelsa State Government has strengthened its subnational security architecture following the formal commissioning of multiple institutional infrastructure projects at the State Command Headquarters of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps in Yenagoa. Executed by Governor Douye Diri through his Deputy, Dr. Peter Akpe, the assets target upgrading regional defensive readiness.

The newly completed security deployment features a modernized tactical quarter guard, an operational command sick bay, and a dedicated photo stand asset, alongside the official groundbreaking ceremony for a new Officers’ Mess. The building projects are engineered to enhance the health welfare of field personnel, enforce strict service discipline, and optimize rapid deployment logistics.

Governor Diri reassured federal agencies of continued state backing, noting that investing in internal security is an absolute prerequisite for maintaining peace. The Ministry of Internal Security has been directed to expand real-time intelligence feeds with the command, ensuring the synchronized protection of critical public infrastructure and maritime oil installations state-wide.
