Governor Oborevwori Host Maiden Security Summit To Advance MORE Inclusivity Pillar

The Delta State Government has initiated a major security governance reform following the formal convention of its Maiden Security Summit in Asaba. Hosted by Governor Sheriff Oborevwori under the theme, "Security: A Collective Responsibility," the multi-stakeholder forum brings together traditional rulers, community heads, private sector syndicates, and civil society organizations.

The specialized policy convention was designed to forge a united civilian-security front to accelerate localized intelligence gathering metrics. By standardizing communication loops between community leaders and formal military commands, the administration aims to build highly resilient local safety watchdogs capable of neutralizing threats before they disrupt urban commerce sectors.

Governor Oborevwori stated that securing internal peace is an absolute prerequisite for sustaining private capital investments. The state executive council has instructed local government chairmen to implement the practical strategies derived from the summit, ensuring that public safety enforcement lines remain closely aligned with the fourth pillar of the administration's MORE development agenda.
