The executive head of Yobe State officially handed over one hundred tractors to agrarian cooperatives at the Government House in Damaturu today. This strategic intervention aims to bolster food security across the Gujba and Gulani Local Government Areas following improved stability in the region. Commissioner for Agriculture Sidi Karasuwa noted that the machinery will be managed through a hire-purchase scheme to ensure long-term sustainability for smallholder farmers. The initiative responds to rising food inflation and seeks to transition the state toward mechanized farming systems.
