๐Ÿ‘ฉ‍๐Ÿ’ป๐Ÿ’ฐ Akwa Ibom Deploys Multi Million Naira ARISE Cooperative Network For Rural Women

UYO, Nigeria, June 26, 2026 - The Akwa Ibom State Government has launched a sweeping grassroots economic capitalization and youth digitalization offensive following formal policy declarations issued by Deputy Governor Senator Akon Eyakenyi. Set for a full operational launch before the end of July, the upcoming ARISE Cooperative Network injects twenty million naira in seed capital directly into every political ward across the state territory.

The extensive micro-credit scheme is designed to directly empower less privileged women-owned enterprises, targeting the systematic registration of 300 eligible female operators per ward through decentralized mapping frameworks. Running concurrently, the administration has finalized a large-scale human capital development program designed to train 1,000 young people from each of the 31 Local Government Areas annually.

The state executive confirmed that equipping youth populations with competitive digital tech training is an absolute prerequisite for capturing high-yield remote employment openings within the global digital economy. The Ministry of Science and Technology has built the registration portal, adding that successful graduates will receive personal laptops directly from Governor Umo Eno to anchor their business tracks.
