Governor Radda Launches Regional FISP Scheme To Disburse 100,800 Fertilizer Bags

The Katsina State Government has accelerated regional food security operations following the formal launch of the Renewed Hope Farm Input Support Programme for the Northwest region. Presided over by Governor Dikko Umaru Radda in collaboration with the National Agricultural Development Fund, the massive scheme distributes an initial allocation of 100,800 bags of fertilizer to 25,200 verified smallholder farmers.

Out of the regional input pool, Katsina State has secured 20,160 bags meticulously assigned to 5,040 documented agriculturalists. The executive layout incorporates digital tracking indices to eliminate diversion bottlenecks, matching the subnational administration's yearly baseline allocation of over 400,000 subsidized fertilizer bags alongside solar irrigation pumps across all 34 local government areas.

Governor Radda commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for championing the structural transformation of the non-oil economy. The State Ministry of Agriculture has been directed to coordinate directly with local extension desks, ensuring the hardware disbursement optimizes wet-season crop yields while protecting vulnerable farming communities from predatory market inflation dynamics state-wide.
