The Akwa Ibom State Government has consolidated its defense partnership networks following a high-level strategic symposium hosted by Governor Umo Eno for participants of Naval Warfare Course 10. Represented by Deputy Governor Senator Akon Eyakenyi, the executive session focused on optimizing joint protection operations across the state's intensive offshore oil and gas production basins.
The defense delegation, led by Naval War College Commandant Rear Admiral Mohammed Muye, integrated thirty-four senior operational leaders, including international officers from Cameroon, Ghana, and Liberia. The field study tour, themed around matching maritime security with socioeconomic development, analyzed the geostrategic values of the upcoming Ibom Deep Seaport project.
Governor Eno reaffirmed that providing steady logistics hardware, including custom patrol gunboats and dedicated vehicle fleets, is a priority under the ARISE Agenda.
