FCTA Completes Key Express Corridor To Decongest Central Capital District

The Federal Capital Territory Administration has completed a major urban traffic intervention following the formal engineering sign-off on a key express corridor designed to connect secondary districts directly with the central business zone. Supervised by Minister Nyesom Wike, the completed roadway has successfully passed final safety checks and is certified ready for active commuter transit.

The civil infrastructure works focused on expanding restricted lanes into an optimized, multi-lane roadway structure built by elite contractors. The layout integrates heavy-duty stone-base asphalt layer configurations, reinforced side drains, and high-intensity solar street lighting networks, which are specifically engineered to eliminate peak-hour gridlocks and improve transit visibility.

FCT administrative heads stated that the road delivery fulfills target objectives set within the territory's active infrastructure rollout. The transport secretariat has been directed to deploy monitoring teams to ensure smooth integration into the municipal transit grid, marking another high-impact asset delivered within the administration's ongoing public accountability schedule.
