Plateau State Concludes Manufacturing Industrialization Summit and Accelerates Legacy Asset PPPs

Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang has hosted an interactive industrialization breakfast meeting with the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN) and private sector leaders to drive non-oil tax revenue expansion, agribusiness value chains, and tax harmonization. Concurrently, the Governor conducted an extensive tracking inspection of the ongoing multi-sector Public-Private Partnership (PPP) redevelopments at the Rwang Pam Township Stadium, the Plateau Hotel, and the historic Hill Station Hotel, confirming that the first phase of the hospitality legacy assets will be delivered by October 1, 2026.

Relying strictly on federal statutory allocations and leaving prime commercial, sports, and tourism assets locked for nearly a decade drain public wealth and limit local wealth generation. Engaging trade groups to streamline regulatory bottlenecks while simultaneously deploying private equity to rebuild historic destinations boost investor confidence, create jobs, and expand tourism revenues.

This dual investment and stakeholder tracking framework highlights a sophisticated approach to subnational economic diversification, asset recovery, and ease of doing business adjustments. Linking public sports assets with modern hospitality infrastructure positions the state as a competitive regional trade destination.
