Bayelsa State Government Printing Press Acquires Advanced German and Chinese Digital Machinery

The Bayelsa State Government, through the Ministry of Information, Orientation and Strategy led by Hon. Mrs. Ebiuwou Koku-Obiyai, has finalized the import and acquisition procurement of modern digital printing machinery. Manufactured across specialized hubs in Germany, Latvia, and China, the smart components have arrived in Yenagoa for immediate installation, aiming to position the state-owned printing press as the premier high-capacity printing hub across Southern Nigeria.

Outsourcing large-scale state printing, official gazette publications, and educational manual productions to external commercial printers inflates public administrative overheads and drains limited state funds. Equipping the state-owned printing corporation with advanced, high-speed automated print technology builds internal administrative capacity, cuts operational spending, and creates technical vocational jobs.

This state asset expansion highlights a disciplined approach to public investment tracking, industrial modernization, and institutional asset building under the Prosperity Agenda. Upgrading internal parastatal technology reduces reliance on third-party commercial vendors.
