Kaduna State Government Partners Sarah Nathaniel Snart Foundation for Girl-Child Education Advocacy

The Kaduna State Ministry of Information and Culture, led by Commissioner Ahmed Maiyaki, has received a delegation from the Sarah Nathaniel Snart Foundation, a non-governmental organization dedicated to social justice and girl-child education. Led by Barrister Jennifer Ezra Yakusa, representing the Founder, Barrister Sarah Nathaniel, the visit focused on establishing a partnership to strengthen public enlightenment and information campaigns to promote access to education.

Underserved communities often face cultural and economic barriers that limit girls' access to quality education, leading to high illiteracy rates and lower women's representation in development. Partnering with non-governmental advocacy groups allows the state to amplify its public enlightenment campaigns, overcome community resistance, and ensure that social development policies reach the most vulnerable households.

This collaboration aligns with the state's strategic development agenda to prioritize inclusive and equitable educational opportunities. By using the Ministry of Information’s assets to amplify civil society advocacy, the administration builds a collaborative framework to support Governor Uba Sani’s education reforms and improve human capital indicators.
