Katsina State Launches Statewide Ward Budget Town Halls and Unveils Pioneer Hausa Technical Manuals

Katsina State Governor Malam Dikko Umaru Radda has flagged off the second statewide ward-level public town hall consultations across all 361 political wards in the 34 Local Government Areas to capture citizens' inputs directly into the 2027 Katsina State Budget. Concurrently, the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) commended the administration's ₦5 billion investment at the Katsina Youth Craft Village following the unveiling of Nigeria’s first Hausa-translated technical training manual across 14 trade areas, alongside the executive commissioning of the Remawa Health Clinic with 1,000 free health insurance enrollments.

Conceiving budgets without community inputs leads to unsustainable public spending on non-impactful projects, while conducting vocational training solely in foreign languages builds artificial barriers for rural and informal sector learners. Institutionalizing bottom-up participatory budgeting and translating standard technical training manuals into native local languages democratize technical literacy, maximize fiscal transparency, and lift thousands of youth into self-reliant small businesses.

These synchronized fiscal and educational reforms showcase a highly analytical, data-driven approach to open governance, human capital development, and public healthcare tracking. Operating through the structured grassroots frameworks of the Community Development Programme ensures that public resources directly match community-voted social infrastructure priorities.
