Katsina State Approves Five Hundred Million Naira Land Compensation and Grassroots Security Frameworks

The Katsina State Executive Council, chaired by Governor Dikko Umaru Radda, has approved over ₦500 million in land compensation for persons affected by the 780-hectare Modoji/Bakuru Federal Housing Project. During the council's 11th Regular Meeting, the state also adopted the 2026–2027 Medium-Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF), approved the joint funding of the Ruma–Daneji Bridge in Sandamu LGA, and passed a policy mandating monthly security meetings for traditional rulers at all grassroots levels.

Uncompensated land acquisitions often lead to protracted communal disputes, slow down public housing projects, and stall urban developments. Paying claims promptly ensures smooth project delivery, while linking local chiefs into a structured monthly security reporting loop improves early warning intelligence to stop criminal incursions along rural borders.

These multi-sector approvals showcase a highly disciplined, data-driven approach to public finance management, territorial security tracking, and capital project execution. By combining strict MTEF fiscal guidelines with organized community policing frameworks, the administration strengthens subnational stability and improves its economic planning.
