Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri conducted an inspection of the ongoing construction of the Jimeta Ultra Modern Shopping Complex and the State Zoo and Recreational Park as part of the Adamawa State Government's infrastructure monitoring programme. According to the Governor, the inspection was undertaken to assess construction progress and ensure that contractors deliver projects that meet the required quality standards and provide value for public expenditure.
During the inspection, Governor Fintiri expressed satisfaction with the pace and quality of work, noting that the contractors had demonstrated commitment towards meeting the established delivery schedule. He announced that both projects are expected to be completed by the end of September 2026, after which they will be opened for public use.
The Governor described the Jimeta Ultra Modern Shopping Complex as a strategic commercial infrastructure project intended to modernise business activities within the state by providing an improved trading environment for businesses and entrepreneurs. He added that the facility is expected to stimulate commercial activity, create employment opportunities for young people and contribute to broader economic development.
