Bauchi State Integrates One Hundred Seventy-Three District Heads Into Civil Service Salary Structure


The Bauchi State Government, through the Commissioner for Information, Dr. Usman Shehu Usman, representing Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, witnessed the inauguration of 173 newly appointed District Heads across Katagum, Jama'are, and Gamawa Emirates. The appointments comprise 98 District Heads in Katagum Emirate, 37 in Jama'are Emirate, and 38 in Gamawa Emirate. During the ceremony, the government announced plans to construct official palaces for all appointees and integrate them into the state civil service monthly salary structure. Authorities also issued firm directives prohibiting traditional rulers from engaging in or condoning illegal logging, bush burning, unauthorized land sales, or farming within 50-kilometre highway corridors, warning that violations could attract deposition and criminal prosecution.
