Joint Security Forces Neutralize Four Bandits And Rescue Abducted Citizens In Kwara State Successfully
The Kwara State Government confirmed that joint security forces, working alongside local vigilante groups, successfully neutralized four armed bandits and rescued two abducted victims, including community leader Alhaji Tukur, during a coordinated tactical operation in Aboki community, Kaiama Local Government Area. The intervention followed a swift response to a reported kidnapping incident, resulting in the safe recovery of the victims and the disruption of the criminal gang's activities. Government authorities further disclosed that a fifth bandit escaped the operation with gunshot wounds. The successful engagement reflects strengthened emergency response protocols implemented by the state government and coincides with federal approval for a new Nigerian Army Battalion in Omu-Aran to reinforce regional counter-terrorism and security operations.
