Katsina Expands Agro-Industrialisation, Enterprise Development and Inclusive Economic Empowerment Programmes | Daily Policy Tracker
The Katsina State Government advanced three strategic economic development initiatives designed to strengthen agricultural industrialisation, entrepreneurship, and financial inclusion. Governor Dikko Umaru Radda commissioned the Dr. Abba Sayyadi Ruma Cassava/Gari Processing Centre in Batsari to expand agricultural value addition, create employment opportunities, and improve rural incomes through modern processing facilities. The administration also launched the KASEDA/UNDP MSME Business Starter Package Programme, distributing business tools and startup support to trained entrepreneurs, particularly beneficiaries from insecurity-affected communities. Additionally, the Governor inspected the Nigeria for Women Programme Scale-Up, where participating women had collectively saved more than ₦349 million, while announcing plans to extend the initiative to all 34 Local Government Areas and introduce a complementary Nigeria for Men Initiative.
