Following a meeting of the Osun State Security Council, Governor Ademola Adeleke directed security agencies to immediately suspend all activities of the National Union of Road Transport Workers in every motor park across the state. The directive prohibited the collection of transport union levies and instructed law enforcement agencies to arrest anyone operating or presenting themselves as officials of the union within motor parks. The Governor clarified that the order did not involve the closure of motor parks but was intended to restore public order. He also approved the establishment of a multi-agency Rapid Response Squad to coordinate enforcement and ensure full compliance with the directive.
