Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago received the leadership of the North Central Development Commission at the Government House in Minna and urged the Commission to prioritise practical solutions to communal conflicts, particularly farmer-herder clashes affecting the region. He proposed a meeting of North Central Governors to develop a coordinated regional strategy capable of addressing shared developmental challenges. The Governor further encouraged the Commission to strengthen interventions in climate resilience, agriculture, education, and infrastructure, while highlighting the recurring flood impacts associated with hydroelectric dams in Niger State. He also pledged to provide office accommodation and logistical support to facilitate the Commission's activities within the state.
