Governor Siminalayi Fubara declared open the 48th Meeting of the National Council on Establishments in Port Harcourt, where he presented Rivers State's ongoing public service reform initiatives. He highlighted measures implemented by his administration to improve workers' welfare, including payment of a minimum wage above the national benchmark, timely payment of salaries, pensions, gratuities, and bonuses, regular staff promotions, and the ongoing remodelling of the State Secretariat into a modern, technology-driven workplace. The Governor also challenged delegates to produce practical recommendations capable of strengthening public institutions, promoting professionalism, improving transparency, and enhancing productivity throughout Nigeria's civil service.
