The agreement integrates AAU into OPay’s 10-year National Scholarship Programme, designed to provide long-term financial grants to undergraduate students.
The corporate social responsibility partnership directly supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education) and aligns with the state executive’s "SHINE Agenda" to boost human capital indexes. By securing private-sector funding for tertiary education tuition and student upkeep, the intervention systematically lowers the drop-out rate driven by financial hardships.
