At the Ibom International Hotel, officials disclosed that the 221-room hospitality facility is being equipped with internationally certified installations, including 395 solar panels capable of generating approximately 250 kilowatts of electricity, alongside conference, hospitality and recreational facilities intended to support tourism and business activities. The Committee also inspected ongoing construction of the ARISE Shopping City, where officials reported continued work on commercial, transport and utility infrastructure designed to create an integrated retail, business and recreational destination.

Following the inspection, the House Committee commended Governor Umo Eno for sustaining funding for the projects and reviving infrastructure inherited from previous administrations. The Committee noted that timely release of funds had accelerated implementation while urging contractors to maintain quality standards and strengthen site security. The supervising ministry also confirmed that construction materials required for project completion remain available and encouraged continued coordination to ensure timely delivery.

The three projects collectively represent strategic investments in economic infrastructure capable of supporting multiple sectors of the state's economy. A modern international convention centre can strengthen business tourism and conference activities, while the international hotel expands hospitality capacity for commercial and institutional events. Similarly, the ARISE Shopping City is intended to provide integrated retail and commercial facilities that support enterprise development, consumer activity and urban economic growth. Together, these projects form part of a broader infrastructure strategy aimed at improving the state's investment attractiveness and economic competitiveness.
