Governor Alex Otti commissioned the second Smart School at Umuomaiukwu in Isiala Ngwa North Local Government Area as part of Abia State's education transformation programme. During the inauguration, the Governor urged pupils to embrace hard work and maximise the opportunities provided through the tuition-free, technology-driven learning environment. The facility incorporates artificial intelligence, virtual reality, adaptive learning technologies, renewable energy systems, continuous internet connectivity, CCTV surveillance, and inclusive learning facilities. Governor Otti also announced scholarship opportunities for outstanding students while warning against vandalism of public educational infrastructure. Government officials described the initiative as a strategic investment aimed at improving educational quality, innovation, and long-term human capital development across the state.
