The Adamawa State Ministry of Housing and Urban Development conducted a formal bid opening exercise on September 30, 2026, for four proposed public infrastructure and government-facility projects.

The Adamawa State government publication said 12 bidders participated in the procurement exercise, which was attended by ministry officials, representatives of regulatory bodies, observers and Civil Society Organisations.

The projects include construction of a new Deputy Governor’s Office Complex in Yola, a VIP Lounge at Yola International Airport, a multipurpose community hall at Prambe and renovation of the official residence of the Controller of Adamawa State Correctional Services in Yola.

The Permanent Secretary, Daniel Soyi, said the exercise reflected the ministry’s emphasis on transparency, accountability and due process in public procurement, with participating stakeholders present during the opening of bids.

The submitted bid documents are to undergo evaluation for compliance with specifications, eligibility requirements and other procurement conditions before any subsequent procurement decision is taken.
