Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, represented by Deputy Governor Kaletapwa George Farauta, told the corps members that the National Youth Service Corps programme provides an avenue for young Nigerians from different ethnic, religious and cultural backgrounds to interact and develop greater understanding of one another.

The governor urged the corps members to uphold patriotism, discipline, tolerance, hard work, selflessness and service to humanity during their one-year national service. He described deployment outside states of origin as a mechanism for promoting understanding and national integration.

The Adamawa State NYSC Coordinator, Osoroh Caroline Chinedu, commended the state government's support for the scheme, including financial assistance for feeding and provision of a conducive orientation environment. She also acknowledged support for the ongoing construction of the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp.

The Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development and Chairman of the NYSC Governing Board, Wali Yakubu, urged the corps members to respect the Constitution and other laws and to interact positively during their service.
