The Plateau government publication said the curfew took effect on September 21, 2026, with movement restricted between 6:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. until further notice.

The state government said the measure was introduced to allow law enforcement agencies to stabilise affected areas, protect lives and prevent a breakdown of public order.

Residents in the three affected Local Government Areas were directed to organise commercial, agricultural and personal activities around the restriction hours. The government said the directive was intended to reduce disruption while security operations continue.

Security operatives have also been directed to enforce the curfew. The state government publication said the ban on the use of motorcycles was to take effect immediately throughout the affected jurisdictions.

The measure remains in force until further notice. Its duration and subsequent review will therefore depend on the security situation and any further directive from the state government.
