The Lagos State Physical Planning Permit Authority is preparing stakeholder engagement sessions across four zones of the state to increase public awareness of the Electronic Physical Planning Processing System. The planned sessions are intended to bring practitioners and other stakeholders into discussions around the digital planning-permit process.

The supplied schedule places sessions in Ikorodu, Lekki and the Mainland on September 23, 29 and 30, with Ikeja scheduled for October 8, 2026. Districts within each zone are expected to participate.

The engagement is intended to explain how the electronic platform is used within the planning-permit process. The authority says the system is designed to make permit applications faster, easier and more transparent, although the supplied announcement does not provide measured processing-time data against the previous system.

General Manager of LASPPPA, Tpl. Kehinde Osinaike, said the engagement would create a forum for professional bodies and built-environment practitioners to understand how the technology can be used to streamline approvals and improve compliance.

The planned meetings therefore represent an awareness and stakeholder-engagement phase around an existing digital planning system. The source establishes the locations, dates and intended purpose of the sessions but does not yet report their outcomes or any resulting changes to the permit process.
