The training was held from September 9 to 10, 2026, at The Cordis Hotel in Alausa, Ikeja. It brought together 100 persons with disabilities for practical instruction on digital citizenship and participation.

LASODA said the collaboration with the NCC was intended to advance digital inclusion and ensure that persons with disabilities are deliberately included in digital empowerment initiatives. Fornido Development Limited also participated in coordinating and delivering the programme.

The programme covered digital citizenship and related knowledge intended to help participants navigate digital spaces safely, responsibly and effectively. The training also addressed opportunities associated with employment, entrepreneurship and wider socio-economic participation.

At the opening ceremony, LASODA's Head of Monitoring, Evaluation and Orientation, Dr. Funmi Adekola, commended the NCC for engaging stakeholders and including persons with disabilities in its digital empowerment agenda.

The two-day programme concluded with the presentation of certificates to participants who successfully completed the training, marking the formal completion of the digital citizenship exercise.
