The harmonisation process is taking place as the ministry reviews the elements of its 2027 Annual Operational Plan with participating stakeholders and development partners. The exercise is intended to refine the planning framework for healthcare delivery in the state.

Commissioner for Health Dr. Cyril Adams Oshiomhole urged participants to cooperate with and remain committed to the planning process, while stressing the importance of taking development of the 2027 AOP seriously.

The Director of Planning, Mrs. Iruobe Lauretta, described planning as a continuous process requiring regular review and improvement. The Planning Team, led by Omorogbe Kelly, presented materials covering baseline data and targets for the 2027 plan.

The workshop also included work on finalising the web-based AOP application and reviewing the SWOT analysis. Representatives of the Federal Ministry of Health, development partners and other institutions contributed observations, corrections and adjustments.

The harmonisation exercise therefore remains a planning and review process, with participating health institutions working toward the refinement and finalisation of Edo State's 2027 Annual Operational Plan.
