Governor Umo Eno said he had received the report of the recently concluded civil service recruitment exercise and directed that appointment letters be issued immediately to the 4,000 successful applicants.

The governor also approved the recruitment of another 2,000 teachers through the State Universal Basic Education Board to support the state's Model Primary Schools.

The government publication presented the decisions as separate recruitment actions covering the civil service and basic education workforce, respectively.

Governor Eno commended the Civil Service Commission and the wider recruitment team, describing the process as transparent and saying applicants had been given a fair opportunity to succeed.

The approvals place the immediate focus on issuing the 4,000 civil service appointments and implementing the additional 2,000-teacher recruitment for the state's Model Primary Schools.
