The Abia State government has reported completed and ongoing road projects across Isiala Ngwa South Local Government Area as part of its wider road infrastructure programme.
The Abia State government publication listed Umunkpeyi-Umuru Okpokiri Road, Umuikama-Okpuala Nvosi Road, Owerinta-Umuochela-Amapu Umuvo Road and Isieketa-Obikabia Road among projects described as completed in Isiala Ngwa South.
The publication also identified ongoing work on the reconstruction and dualisation of the Umuikaa–Owerinta Federal Road toward the Abia-Imo State boundary.
Other ongoing projects listed were the reconstruction and dualisation of the Umuikaa–Umuene Road and construction of the Isieketa–Mba–Ekeokporo–Mgbedeala Road.
The government publication said the projects are improving access to communities and supporting local business activity across parts of Isiala Ngwa South.
The reported programme therefore combines completed connecting roads with larger reconstruction, dualisation and new-road projects that remain under implementation in the local government area.
