The Enugu State Housing Development Corporation has launched an Independence promotional campaign offering property buyers raffle opportunities and incentives while purchasing plots in government-backed estates.
The campaign, titled “Invest Now, Own Your Own Piece of the Future,” runs from October 1 to November 15, 2026. According to the Enugu government publication, every plot purchased during the promotional period qualifies as one raffle entry, with the grand prize being a plot at the Smart City Satellite Town Estate, Independence Layout Phase 2.
The Acting General Manager of ESHDC, Mrs Adenike Okebu, said the initiative was intended to make property ownership more accessible and rewarding while advancing Governor Peter Mbah's stated vision of expanding land ownership among Enugu residents.
The promotion also provides incentives for bulk buyers. Buyers who purchase three plots are eligible for free C-of-O documentation for one plot, while purchasers of five plots are eligible for the documentation on two plots. Other listed rewards include generators, television sets, solar units, microwaves and waivers on selected ESHDC services.
The promotional campaign is scheduled to conclude on November 15 with an event at Coal City Eastern Alliance Park. The programme is expected to include an estate tour, sporting activities and the raffle draw, with the event scheduled to begin at 7:00 a.m.
Interested buyers are directed to register through the ESHDC Digitalisation Portal, purchase a qualifying plot and receive a raffle number after payment confirmation. The campaign therefore combines property sales, buyer incentives and a promotional raffle within the stated October 1 to November 15 period.
