The delegation arrived in Jos and was received at the State Secretariat by the Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, Ishaku Maren, alongside directors and staff of the ministry.

Maren said the state had approved site visits to ongoing projects and would facilitate engagement with operational teams during the exercise.

The committee, established by the National Economic Council and chaired by Vice President Kashim Shettima, is examining how national resolutions translate into development outcomes across the states.

Its Plateau exercise covers implementation of federal frameworks including the National Social Protection Bill and associated intervention funds, progress on regional infrastructure and legacy projects, and environmental monitoring using federal templates.

The delegation is expected to reconcile implementation data, inspect designated project sites and present initial findings before leaving Jos, with the information to form part of a nationwide assessment report for the National Economic Council.
