The Plateau Municipal Water Supply and Sanitation Agency conducted its fourth follow-up visit to Langtang North Local Government Area under the Sustainable Urban and Rural Water Supply, Sanitation and Hygiene programme.

The six-day engagement involved PLAMWASSA, WASHCOM members and facilitators and included community-level monitoring of sanitation activities.

The team assessed household toilet construction and usage, hand-washing facilities and other sanitation practices while engaging community members and ODF committees.

PLAMWASSA officials urged the committees to identify gaps, mobilise households and sustain sanitation improvements beyond the achievement of ODF status.

The exercise concluded on September 26, 2026, with a feedback meeting involving ODF committee members from the communities visited, while the agency said continued engagement would support community ownership and sustained sanitation gains.
