The Osun State Government has signed a Non-Disclosure Agreement with Critical Minerals Financing Corporation Plc as part of efforts to develop and enhance the value of the state's mineral assets.
The agreement was finalised by the Office of Natural and Mineral Resources (Mining) and formally signed at the Bola Ige House within the Governor's Office.
Special Adviser to the Governor on Mineral Resources Lukman Jimoda represented the state government at the signing and described the partnership as aligned with the administration's stated objective of developing the mining sector.
The state government said the partnership is intended to attract investment and develop mineral assets. Jimoda also disclosed that two additional investors were being pursued, with agreements expected to be finalised subsequently.
The official account noted that previous mining agreements in the state had not all remained active, while the new partnership was presented as an effort to establish additional investment activity.
The state government also said it would provide security and safety for mining operations. The agreement itself is a non-disclosure arrangement, and the source does not provide details of specific mineral assets, financing amounts or project timelines.
