Governor Dapo Abiodun said the state had taken note of the movement difficulties affecting Kara Bridge and adjoining portions of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway. The corridor serves residents, workers, businesses and travellers moving between major population and commercial centres.

The Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency has been mobilised to strengthen traffic coordination and assist road users in the affected area. TRACE personnel are working with relevant security, emergency and traffic-management agencies.

The immediate operational task includes clearing obstructions, preventing additional gridlock and improving movement along the affected axis. The state said personnel and resources would continue to be deployed as required.

Motorists have been advised to approach the area cautiously, avoid driving against traffic and refrain from creating additional lanes. Commercial drivers and articulated-vehicle operators have also been urged to comply with traffic directions.

The state government's current response is focused on traffic coordination, road-user assistance and maintaining order around the affected corridor while personnel continue efforts aimed at restoring normal traffic movement.
