Kaduna State has commissioned a range of basic education interventions across its 23 Local Government Areas while expanding school monitoring through additional mobility support for Quality Assurance Officers.
The Kaduna government publication said the interventions include construction and renovation of classrooms and other facilities intended to provide safer and more suitable learning environments. Governor Uba Sani was represented at the commissioning by Deputy Governor Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe.
The governor said the investments were intended to address infrastructure deficits, expand access and support learning outcomes. The interventions form part of a wider set of measures involving teacher support and digital transformation.
The state also distributed motorcycles to Quality Assurance Officers to improve their mobility and enable more regular monitoring and inspection of schools. The government said the measure should support earlier identification of challenges and strengthen supervision.
Beneficiary communities were urged to protect and maintain the facilities, while KADSUBEB and other stakeholders were tasked with ensuring effective utilisation of the interventions.
The combined approach links physical school infrastructure with supervision and accountability. The stated objective is to strengthen the basic education system and improve the conditions in which pupils and teachers operate across the state.
