The FCT Administration says the Apo-Karshi and Bwari-Kubwa roads are targeted for completion and opening to residents by December 2026.
FCT Minister Nyesom Wike gave the assurance on September 24, 2026, after inspecting ongoing infrastructure projects across satellite towns in the Federal Capital Territory.
Wike said the Apo-Karshi road contract, originally awarded in 2010 and subsequently revoked and re-awarded, had reached a stage at which the contractor expected to hand over the project by November.
For the Bwari-Kubwa road, the minister said the contractor had promised handover by the end of 2026 despite delays attributed to heavy rainfall.
The minister said more than ten projects were expected to be commissioned in the FCT before the next elections and highlighted infrastructure activity extending beyond the city centre into satellite towns.
The reported completion dates remain project targets or contractor commitments as stated by the FCT Administration; the supplied publication does not establish that either road had been completed as of September 24.
