The FCT government publication said Wike inspected the Inner Southern Expressway, Southern Parkway at Gaduwa and the Nile University axis leading to Ring Road 3 on September 21, 2026. The inspection focused on project progress and contractor commitments.

At ISEX, contractor CGC Nigeria Limited reportedly maintained a commitment to hand over the project by December 2026. At Southern Parkway, work on a second bridge had been affected by heavy rainfall, while further earthworks were expected after the rains subside.

At the Nile University axis, CCECC reportedly committed to handing over the project by the first week of January 2027. Wike said the contractors' revised commitments had reduced concerns over earlier progress levels.

The minister said the broader objective was to complete major infrastructure projects within the targeted period. The source publication also recorded his comments on the Rainbow Coalition, but those political remarks are separate from the infrastructure inspection that forms the primary subject of this report.

The current project schedule therefore centres on December 2026 and January 2027 handover targets. Actual completion remains dependent on construction progress, weather conditions and contractor delivery.
