The Edo State government publication said the Federal Government, International Fund for Agricultural Development, Edo State Government and the Livelihood Improvement Family Enterprises for Niger Delta Project enrolled the beneficiaries as part of the project's Additional Financing Phase.

Project Coordinator John Omoruyi said the programme is intended to strengthen agribusiness, rural development, employment and livelihoods, while urging beneficiaries to apply commitment, integrity, innovation and responsibility to the support provided.

Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security Mrs. Bamaiyi Osedebamen described the orientation programme as an opportunity for the selected participants to acquire technical and business skills and engage in enterprise development.

The NDDC Edo State Office, represented by its Head of Agriculture and Fisheries Department, said the LIFE-ND programme had previously trained 5,002 incubatees across 100 communities in 10 local government areas.

The latest beneficiaries expressed appreciation for the programme and said they intended to use the knowledge, skills and support to establish sustainable businesses, improve livelihoods and contribute to their communities.
