According to the Anambra State government publication, Governor Charles Soludo awarded tertiary education scholarships to a student-tailor and six other students during an event in Ekwusigo Local Government Area.

The publication said the students demonstrated practical skills at the event, with the student-tailor producing a garment after taking measurements while the other six students demonstrated skills in making slippers and clothes.

Soludo also provided ₦500,000 to the seven students as skills-development support, according to the report.

In addition, the governor donated ₦5 million to each of the participating government schools in Ekwusigo Local Government Area to support entrepreneurial skills development.

The intervention combines tertiary education scholarships with direct skills-development support for participating students and institutional funding for the schools involved in the programme.
