Adamawa's Advocacy, Communication and Social Mobilisation Technical Working Team has held a coordination meeting focused on strengthening health communication and community engagement.
The one-day meeting was held on September 28, 2026, at the SERICC Hall of the Adamawa State Primary Health Care Development Agency and brought together government institutions, development partners, traditional institutions and religious bodies.
Director of Advocacy, Communication and Social Mobilisation Zacharia David Birdling called for regular coordination meetings to identify challenges affecting health communication and community mobilisation and consider possible responses.
Birdling said the team's work extends beyond immunisation to broader public awareness and ensuring that citizens receive relevant health information, while acknowledging stakeholder contributions to immunisation activities.
Representatives of eHealth Africa said the meeting provided an opportunity for partners to present updates, discuss challenges and consider ways forward, while the District Head of Jimeta encouraged continued participation in health-awareness activities.
The meeting concluded with discussions, questions, contributions and recommendations intended to strengthen coordination among the participating government agencies, partners, traditional institutions and religious bodies.
